Guess Where…
…the dogs are?
When the cat’s away, the mice will play.
Yep, this blog has gone to the dogs. I know yesterday was their day, but today is REALLY all about the pooches. You see, when my inlaws are both off, the dogs come to the office. The Knight’s uncle enjoys them as much as we do. Plus, when all the crews are out, I’m not alone in the office if the dogs are with me…
Sissy would have had to come in today anyway. She had to have a bordetella vaccine. I was under the impression it was a SHOT, so that’s what the Knight was expecting. I was grumpy, because I thought it was included in her distemper and more shot, but the “school” she’s going to required the separate vaccine. Well, just so YOU know, it’s injected up the nose. The vet tech put her in a choke hold, and up the nose it went. (Obviously, she’s forgiven him…)
The Knight is in high cotton. I don’t know what came over him, but he and poor Neighbor Dude stood in a store in another small town where they were working yesterday. They read dog food bag after dog food bag, and glanced over a few boxes of treats too. He came home with a high fiber (puppy) food and some high fiber treats. He even remembered that Sissy needed more of her vitamins, got the right brand and everything. It won’t be her forever food, but it’s much closer to what she needs that what we’d been feeding her!
While the Knight and the Princess went on their adventure, the Prince hung out with me. (Yes, Shadow’s bunny is almost as big as he is, but that doesn’t seem to bother him.) Watching him this morning, I can see that his rear hips are weak, but we’re managing that, so it’s all good.
So, the weekend’s off to a good start. This last day of the work week is more like a holiday. Tonight, we have dinner with one of our favorite couples, and tomorrow, my sister and I will go visit our aunt. Other than that, it’s a quiet weekend at home with the dogs. And you?

I’m so glad you founda dog food that will work for Sissy! Your weekend sounds awesome
I will be doing some sleeping for sure.. I’ve been very tired this week!
Your puppies are so cute!
Bordetello is for kennel cough and they need to immunized against if they are around other dogs that aren’t yours. Mine never got it until we started taking them to the dog parks. So, since it’s “Optional” it’s not included in the regular vaccines.
Glad to hear the dogs are at the shop with you. Nice to know that Knight knows where his bread is buttered (so to speak). Hope Sissy eats her new food with gusto! g
How fun that the dogs are at the office today! Glad the Knight found some dog food for Sissy. A shot up the nose sounds yucky! Love the pictures
My Mooi came today Chan, thanks for enabling me, its just luxurious!!!!! The puppies look happy!
have a wonderful weekend!
Sounds like you are starting the weekend off on the right foot (paw)! Knight lived up to his name yesterday!
I had no idea it was an up the nose vaccine. How odd! And if the knight wants to continue his shopping adventures, I have my grocery list all ready….
This weekend? Well, we are sans children until tomorrow afternoon so DH and I are going to go to the club to a pool party and just relax. Tomorrow morning I’ll clean up the kitchen, go to the post office to mail some packages, and perhaps stop by the farmer’s market to see if there is anything good. Then I’ll come home, work on Gust, and relax a bit before heading off to mom and dad’s to pick up the kidlets.
And I can’t even begin to think about Sunday!
I’m glad that you guys have had a good day!
The pups look happy to have spent the day with you, love the photo of Sissy!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! I’m trying to talk the hubby into a Nesbit’s Philly Cheesesteak tonight… yummy!
And I have wined about not being able to get my saw out of the building… he’s unloaded his work truck stuff & burried it!!! Maybe I can get him to dig that out for me this weekend since there is no race… Mini-sock blockers, here we come!
Cute pics!
You know, when you said shot in email yesterday I meant to tell you about that and then we got on the pumpkin talk…. oopsie!
