I was REALLY dreading this post, this day, this week. Normally, the third Sunday of Advent is my favorite of the season, if for no other reason than I like the rose colored candle better than the purple ones, but I just couldn’t muster any joy this season.
All of that changed in an instant, when our reluctant model came into our lives. I will have to manage to capture *HER* joyous expression when she’s running toward one of us or trying to kiss Mugsy, but until then, at least it’s another shot of Sissy you hadn’t seen before. Today happens to be her 8-week birthday, since I’m not sure I mentioned how old she was before. We celebrated by taking her first leash walk of any consequence, and she did really well!
My potential new vehicle passed a big litmus test today too. My brother inlaw is a big guy, which is significant because the back seat LOOKED roomy, but we wanted to be sure. The Knight’s truck has a full-sized back seat, but his father says it’s cramped in leg room, so my vehicle needs to be able to tote four adults in comfort, great comfort. My brother inlaw passed it with flying colors, so everyone else in our family can certainly fit with leg room to spare.
Joy found us. I was actually going to poke around for some names that mean joy or close to it for now-Sissy’s name, but the Knight was so pleased with himself and she took to Sissy right away. So from our house of four again, we wish you and yours a home filled with joy, this season and always.

Oh, that’s one adorable Basset Princess. She is just a love, and I can tell how happy you all are to have her in your lives. I’m so glad.
I’m so glad joy found you. Sissy needs a middle name.
Sissy Joy? Sissy Joyeux Noel? Sissy Delight?
OMG, I could just eat her up… Sissy is adorable! Glad she is bringing joy into your lives.
She really is so adorable! I’m glad that she found her way into your lives, and thrilled for all the joy I’m sure she is going to bring you!
I love those big ears! I’m so glad that you and the Knight found such a beautiful girl.
Give Mugsy some smooches for me.
So glad that Joy came your way…I think Joy would make a great middle name for her somehow. She is just too precious! Great shot of her
I knew it!!!
D
Was just a matter of time!!
Congratulations!!!!!!!! I can’ wait to see what form of “Joy” you name her!
Since it does come to the week before joy of advent, I agree with Mary, Sissy Joy doesn’t sound so bad. Kinda cute. It is definately a southern thang. What vehicle passed inspecttion?
So, we have had many conversations about Miss Sissy and you know how glad I am the you found her or that she found you. What vehicle did you finally decide upon? g
My Gram always said the only way to spell true JOY is Jesus Others then You. I think you’ve found that in your advent…and giving to others…then Joy found you.
Oooooo, smooches and more smooches to that cutie pie Sissy!!! I just don’t know what to comment on first… Your lace scarf came out beautiful!! And I love all of your goodies!
Oh…Sissy is SO adorable!!! I’m really glad she’s bringing joy into your lives
