Calling All Yarn-users

I didn’t read a single blog over the weekend, so I had a lot of catching up to do.  Here goes…

First, how ’bout whipping up a pretty hat to cheer a pretty little girl?  Pop over to NH Knitting Mama’s for more information on Hats Off to Megan.   It would be great if Megan had hats to share with the other young ladies she’s apt to meet…

Next, two of my favorite bloggers are celebrating their blogiversaries!  Mary and Jessi are great friends and cool bloggers, so go wish them a happy one.  Jessi’s having a contest, so take your favorite pattern and yarn with you, and be prepared to pick a door…

I have a busy week ahead, with lots of meetings, so don’t worry if I am quiet.  We had another great dinner with friends last night.  I know it sounds as though I live in Mayberry, but we love that a spontaneous dinner out can find us arriving at a favorite eatery at the same time as good friends.  We love it even more that the wife happily asked for a table for five, and we settled in for good food and lots of laughter.  It’s taken us ten years of married life to find ourselves suddenly with a few couples we adore, most of whom have been “around” for years, but the acquaintances have blossomed into strong friendships.  In most cases, we have always been FRIENDLY but we were in different life stages or something, and now, everything’s falling into place.

Thanks so much for all of the kind words and support.  The sun is shining, and the weekend held much more laughter than tears.  Now, I’m going to run up to the bakery and pick up some cornbread to go with the crockpot full of pinto beans one of the guys brought in!
