Happy Howloween

The girls weren’t so cooperative, but if you’re a regular reader, you know I don’t let bad photos stop me from blogging!

The reluctant ballerina

So, Sissy is supposed to be a ballerina princess.  She doesn’t mind the costume much, but like any kid, getting her to stand still long enough to put it on is the challenge.

Gretchen is going in the only tiny costume I could find, but since I also call her little pun’kin, it’s appropriate.  Poor gal; the head/neck are almost too tight to wear, but the body is a bit big.  She doesn’t mind wearing the shirt, but the head part is totally unacceptable, which was Mugsy’s take on his similarly styled devil costume last year (see previous post).

Don’t forget to visit the other Dogs on Thursday, and happy little Firday to you!

  1. You can tell when you are holding her for the photo that she is super tiny. And that tutu on Sissy – too much! Will you be taking them out for trick or treats? g

  2. Fuji hates when I dress her up! Her first costume was a furry duck…so funny! Our poor babies…what they endure for us!:) Love the costumes! Have a wonderful Halloween!

  3. Awesome costumes! They are just too cute for words! I would say you do an excellent job getting the pictures, mine would have come out blurry! Happy Howlaween!

  4. Great costumes! Happy Halloween to you too!

  5. They’ll just have to get used to this form of torture. They both look so cute!

  6. Precious Pumpking… and such a Diva of a Ballerina! Love them!

  7. I love it. My dog was a pumpkin last year. I think the pumpkin costumes out there are my favorites.

  8. I love it! LOL!

  9. Of course The Princess is wearing a costume beffiting her stature, but I wonder, what will the Little Punkin be called when she grows up? We’ve had to settle for The Princess and The Little Princess.

  10. What a lovely princess! The hat is great! And, the little jack-o-lantern is precious!

    :)

  11. :-) too cute! Happy Halloween. In answer to scrabblequeen’s question on what to call them when Gretchen grows up: what came to mind, was “the princess and the P(ea)”!

  12. We laughed out loud! Love the princess tutu in particular.. and I love that your JRT is dressed as a JACK-o-lantern ;-) how very appropriate! :-)

  13. ROTFL!!! Sissy’s long ole body with that tutu at the end is just precious! Poor Gretchen…she’s probably wondering why her big sis is letting Mama do that to her. ;-)

  14. Too cute. I can just picture Sissy twirling around in her tutu. I’ll send Fudge to teach her to twirl. It’s his specialty. Wish I could cuddle that baby pumpkin.

  15. too cute for words.

  16. awwwww, how sweet

  17. They are both very cute.

  18. They both are simply adoreable.

  19. SNOL & ROFLOL!!!! Nic was right, that is a princess DIVA if I ever saw one! Those costumes are just too funny!!!!! You guys are a hoot! Give the girls smooches for me for being so good & going along with the costume thing. :)

  20. What a great Princess. Congrats on your new baby. I watch Sissy grow up now I can watch this little one! Hugs to you all.

  21. Oh they are just soo cute and such good sports!
Of course the bassets are the princess’s aren’t they?

  22. The Lil Punkin is so cute, I could just eat her up! And I just laughed myself silly when i saw the ballerina princess.

  24. Oh my goodness, they are just tuu-tuu cute!

  25. Chan, I had no idea you got a new baby. She is absolutely adorable. I love seeing pics of the girls together. Oh and happy belated birthday to Sissy.

  26. Those pictures are hilarious! I still say there is something twisted :) about dressing dogs up in costumes, but those pictures are too much!!!!! :)

  27. Sissy, I love your hat, but, sweetie, I am not sure you’re the tutu type…!
And Gretchen… I have a pie crust ready for youuuu! (insert Wicked Witch laugh here)

  28. SNOL……..the pink costume is too much…..LOL
Sissy appears to be saying, “oh you poor woman. You have resorted to this! Hurry up and take the darn picture.”
Little Miss Gretchen on the other hand seems to take it all in stride but then she’s too young to know better:)

  29. The look so great in their costumes!

  30. OH – MY – GOD…. so flippin’ cute!

  31. I love the costumes, they look so adorable.
