As seen on The Today Show…

Maggy London

I’ve admired a couple of frocks The Today Show gals have worn, but I honestly caused a small scene in my office when I saw this Maggy London number on the television screen.

Oh, I pin a lot of dresses, blog quite a few too I suppose, but friends…  I’m ready to excuse myself and go see if any place in podunk has this dress in stock.   PANK, purple and grey?!  What’s not to love?

Problem is, I need a petite and the website doesn’t seem to offer one, or I would have clicked “check out” already.

What’s on your weekend agenda?  Clearly, I’ll be rushing in and out of the stores in podunk looking for this dress, when I’m not walking the dogs and working on my remarks for all the upcoming League hoopla…

Okay – I clicked on the link and can’t see what I want to see. which is – does it have a waist seam? If not – click purchase already and have the damn thing hemmed – and hush up about it! Even if it was petit I can almost guarantee you that it would be too long to be a flattering look. Don’t waffle – it will go fast!

Weekend – sewing, making gifts, some ‘domestic engineering’, menu planning and grocery shopping, farmer’s markets, goodwill run, ummm – there’s more but I’ve already forgotten. g

Oh Chan, that is stunning, you have to have that dress! If it doesn’t come in petite, can you take it and have it shortened so that it would fit you better? My darling DH has been out to the stores looking for work out clothes for me to wear to PT. I am NOT a sweatpants kind of girl at all. My closet consists of Jeans, black, danskos and glitz accessories. He
is trying his best but is not a shopper.

My two goals are to be able to get around enough to see my #1 son at VMI, for parents weekend on 10/19 and for my fab new funky knit danskos fit on my poor foot by then. I have the box near my bed so I can admire them often 🙂 since I also live in Podunk, shopping is way limited here too!

I have the attention of a goldfish these days! My plan for the weekend is to try out the new matchless as “therapy” , knit and we have the movie channels for free this weekend. Woo hoo! I sure hope True Blood will be on! 🙂

Great dress, but there are so many great dresses out there right now! If I went shopping I would be distracted by all the other dresses calling out to me. I’m hopeless–I hope you have better luck!

This weekend is a working weekend. No fun to be had here!! Think of me.

I like that one too… but still think yesterday’s Kate Spade number is a must for Chan! 🙂 Weekend agenda? HA… racing….. what else is new? Well, we do have Dad C & Mom-Sue up from SC for racing… and brunch with both sets of parents on Sunday 🙂

It’s a slimming dress, and it doesn’t look like it has a waistline seam to me (G’s comment). I’d just order it, take it to the dry cleaners and have them hem it. What can it cost, ten bucks or so for hemming? Until you get a sewing machine and learn to use the blind hemmer, that’s the route you’ll have to take. Just figure out how much you want to raise the hem, mark that level with chalk, and iron it up to that height. They can work with it from there!

Aha! A petite version has been located, so we all expect to see it on you soon. The girls can wear their matching outfits.

LOL…I love that you can make me smile when you fall for a new frock, or coat, or….I bought two skirts and a top today….at Walmart of all places! Weekend…fair business, but not all weekend. Tomorrow morning and evening slotted, but the middle is clear.

Love it, and with those panels down the side, very slimming.
    Hope you find it, Chan!
    Absolutely pouring here today!

You’ll be a star! How’d the walk go today?

  12. I found a color block dress at TJ Maxx about 2 weeks ago for about $30. Haven’t had the opportunity to wear it yet, but I really like it. Oh! and I noticed it’s a ponte knit! I just didn’t realize it at the time. 🙂 My weekend consisted of travelling an hour to a youth football game and both kids going to/having sleepovers. It was a *crazy* weekend.
