This isn’t a TGIF week. Frankly, car shopping is sucking up knitting time, whether I leave the house or not. Remember, I must research any and all options until my eyes blur, and I cannot read and knit so well.
But before I get all bitter and cranky, look!
Better hurry before they’re gone. I left mine in the cart for you… The mug is really what I like best, so I’m just hoping she offers it independently later.
We do have some fun on the radar for the weekend. We have two birthday parties, although both required that I miss something else I’d like to do too. That’s okay. The “kids” celebrating are special, and we wouldn’t miss honoring them for anything. Besides, isn’t it nice to have friends AND family you want to be with?
And while I hesitate to toot my own horn, the Heel Hugger pattern is now available as a free Ravelry download! Thanks again to my test knitters, those who shared photos and especially to Anita for pulling it all together for me.
I’ll have another couple of FOs for you soon, but while you wait, those of you on Ravelry can go check out Jessi’s new pattern too.
So, what does your weekend hold?
Friends and family time, with some knitting thrown in–sounds perfect.
Off to download the heel hugger. I need some of those for summer tennis shoe wearing. 🙂
I still say eenie, meenie, minie, mo is starting to look pretty good. lol
My weekend (starting today) involves (or involved) the garage repairman today (he was here before our trip to Duluth and will be back again on Monday for a third/different fixing job), rain today, and a trip to the Twin Cities for a Photograph/fiber/blogging workshop. Mending/sewing a skirt for DTY, dyeing yarn for Monthly Adventures, making cookies for the Ds, two services on Sunday, and packaging up several boxes for the post office on Monday. Oh and cleaning the house for Hubband’s return home on Sunday. And knitting. I will finish Vet-Girl’s socks tomorrow, and hopefully Dr. Who #2 by Sunday (but I will settle for Monday if I have to).
Can you knit in he car on the way to parties? Can you knit at your parties?
That is gorgeous yarn, very vibrant colors.
The weekend involves staining and painting doors. What fun!! Also the county fair starts soon, but unless it cools down a little, I’ll skip it.
Hmmm – my weekend – knitting in the park, free concert. Then I’m not sure what we’re up to tomorrow on the way home. Don’t plan on getting home before dinner time, so . . . .
Went yarn shopping today (I bought enough yarn to make 3 pairs of socks and a pattern book that I really, really, really wanted). Shhhh – don’t tell hubby. g
I think I changed all the projects to link to your pattern too. But they aren’t all showing up 🙂 It’s a great pattern I’ve already made it 4 times. Just need to all their glamour shots taken.
What???? I must have missed the debute of your heel huggers – they are soooo cute!!!
Hats off to you girlfriend. How you can look at cars until your eyes cross is beyond my comprehension. To give you a sense of my car maintenance/attention. I have a mazda miata (convertible) sitting in my garage that I haven’t turned on in 8 years – it’s covered in dust and the tires are all flat. It only had 16,000 miles on it – but – when we moved to hilly Topanga from flat South Bend, Indiana I was too frightened to drive a small stick shift car and yet I didn’t want to let it go either. So there it sits. This really bothers my dad – who can’t understand why I don’t do something with it – LOL
Yay! I’m glad you finally got it all working! Woohoo! It looks great & there you are in Ravelry as a designer, way to go girl!
Oh thank you for the FREE pattern on Ravelryl Your huggers are wonderful
Congrats on your first ‘published’ pattern! I hadn’t realized the paws cloth was Jessie’s design…..Have a great weekend. I’m going to try to play catch-up with mine.
Fantastical swag!! About Nelson and the collar of shame…my late Black Lab Tyler had to wear one and he was so humiliated! Now, I only put cones on postcard dogs 😉
Ordered my Loopy kit… its on the way…..
Congrats on the pattern being up!!!
