Out and About

Yesterday, it warmed up and I found the steps one more time for Gretchen.  She’s still not much on this white, cold stuff.

Sissy did have fun shoving her head into the snow, which was Fred’s (our dearly departed first basset) favorite snow sport.  I had my point and shoot shoved in my pocket, so I wasn’t able to get a sweet shot of the goof with snow all over her nose!

So far, that’s my favorite snow photo.  Gretchen is a good sport about climbing around on the white piles, but she doesn’t enjoy it the way Mugsy did.  She also finds her heavy coat too bulk for anything but snow emergencies.

That’s the doghouse.  Not that it sees any real use, but I think it’s out of commission for a long while.  And yes, everything but those few inches of roof are buried.

I’d share more, but we’re headed to town.  Hopefully, we’ll be back soon.

WOW! I love the snow photos! 🙂 I wouldn’t believe that one with the doghouse if I didn’t see it. I haven’t seen that much snow since I lived in NY.

The girls are cute in their coats even if they are bulky.

What does Gretchen keep in her pocket? I suggest biscuits.

That is an absolutely priceless photo of Gretchen climbing the stairs. Love the snow photos – you’ve got quite the White Christmas this year, don’t you? g

I think it’s her eyebrows which make Gretchen always look so worried. Of course, what she really wants to know is WHY some cruel prankster put all this cold crap in her yard. How’s a girl to do her business? And what about playing? Sheesh! Glad Sissy’s having fun, anyway.

  5. That pic of Sissy with a snowy face would have been priceless. Ah well, at least we got cute Gretchie on the stairs with her, “why?” look! Enjoy your white Christmas.

  7. Miss Me says:

okay – that snowfall is IMPRESSIVE! you have more snow than we do. now there’s something you won’t hear too often.

  8. Bridget says:

Jetsam says to tell Gretchen that he understands the expression on her face completely!

  9. Sue says:

I love that expression. It says “Mom, do something.” I see it quite often. Yesterday it was 45 and sunny here and today it’s 48 and sunny. I guess you’re getting winter and we skipped straight to spring.

Poor Gretchen, the look on her face seems to say “You’re kidding, right?”. Such a cutie she is.

That’s such a cute photo of Gretchen ~ you are right ~ she doesn’t look like she’s feeling the love for snow yet 🙂

Great pictures of the snow fall ~ just amazing!

Wow! That’s alot of snow! We hope its not causing you too much trouble –

Great pictures of the dogs strolling about in the snow. Although Gretchen does seem a wee bit worried …

It is strange to me to be commenting on your blog about – WOW look at all that snow! – when it is usually the other way around. Admittedly, I’m jealous! That storm only yielded about 4 inches for us.
