She who hesitates…

… has cute snow photos to share from home.

Um, yeah.  Friday night, they said flurries with no accumulation, and we had a pretty, HEAVY dusting around dawn.  Today, they said rain/flurries mix, and two hours into it, the roads were covered and Dae asked me to drive MJ home post-haste.

Gretchen is perched in my lap, supervising.  Sissy is stomping around the house looking for food, in a fashion only those of you with hounds (and maybe a flock of PWDs) can understand.  I have a dinner date with a girlfriend tonight, and just as the “flurries with little to no accumulation” were starting around noon, we confirmed that we were “on” for tonight.

Unedited - seen the big, wet flakes?

Weather forecasting is no science.

Gretchen sees no need for her heavy winter coat, so she’s sporting Mugsy’s old winter slicker.  Yeah, it’s rather big for her, but strangely, this is the ONLY hood she actually wears.

And for whomever has the score card at home?  Dinner plans postponed again.  Bingo cancelled at the firehouse.   Got me about half of a Presidents Day off to knit!

Yes, it appears to be feeding time right now, so I have a lot of eyes staring at me as I type.

Gretchie is cute in her slicker!

  3. Well, since it’s YOUR cancelled plans and not mine, I can say, the snow and the doggies look good, and a snow day for knitting sounds great!

Gretchie looks adorable in the slicker! Snow stopped by 4pm, with barely an inch of accumulation. No word on school tomorrow.

My knitting time is suffering…but I made valentine cookies for the family, homemade vegetable beef soup, and amish friendship bread (walnut/chocolate chip cake). At least everyone is eating well.

I think our weird weather and your weird weather should average out. You could warm up a bit…and we should cool down.

I have never EVER seen a dog wear a hood. She’s amazing!

More time to knit…….beats dinner anytime!

We had some more snow flurries here this afternoon. Nothing sticking, but it was pretty to drive home in after karate. 🙂

That first photo is priceless! Just rain here, thank goodness. Oh, and I have three brits staring at me wondering when I am going to get off this computer and give them their breakfast…

I love her little coat! Now she needs little mittens to go with it!

Love to see the Fur Girls stylin!

And I would agree, weather prediction in the Mid-Atlantic area is no science. We just got a covering of snow again this morning…not predicted.

Snowing here now… they closed schools for the day based on what was coming in but we haven’t had much accumulate YET… we’re in the 5 – 8 inches I think.

    Was Gretchen eating/licking the snow?

Cute photos, and where did you get that slicker. Angus needs one. Although I will say that with this last round about of snow he is doing better. He will actually walk in it now.

Adorable. Our inch became 6 inches. Sorry to hear your plans were cancelled but hopefully you made knitting headway.
