Pattern: Multnomah – direct link to the pdf file. If you’ve never done feather and fan before, make sure you read the “editing” tab on the Ravelry project page, or see Robin’s notes . I would type out the necessary changes here, but I’ve given you two awesome resources that are a click away… Other than following those “clarifications” I made no modifications to the pattern.
Yarn: Swoon! If you haven’t knitted with Kathy‘s Gypsyknits BFL Superwash Fingering, you’re missing out. I have to admit that I let this yarn marinate for a good while, but when it turned up as my January personal brown bag stash sock club offering, Barbara suggested that we have a knit-along with our Gypsyknits yarns…
Oh… and the colorway is Victorian Tea.
Needles: Addi Turbo Lace 40″, US size #4. Most wonderful needles in the whole wide world.
Verdict: I’m well-pleased. I still don’t know what I’m going to do with it, but it’s a nice little shawlette, and it used almost a whole skein of yarn from my stash.
Now, the weekend and the last 2.5 rows and bind-off of Citron await. The Knight and his band of merry men are busy with their shed-raising (although my girlfriends and I voted last night and decided that the little house is far too large to be called a shed – but what do we know?) and more tree work this weekend.
I’ll slip away tomorrow for a bit of scrapbooking and/or card making, and that’s about as exciting as it gets this weekend. How ’bout you? Will you have sunshine and warm temperatures? Hmmm… I think I’ll add some walks and dog baths to the agenda too.
Chan Knits 
I love the way that yarn knits up! I’m always so leery of variegated yarn because of possible pooling (which always seems to happen to me), but your mini-shawl looks fantastic!
Chan, you are soooo talented! I just don’t have the patience anymore. That yarn is gorgeous! You’re going to find tons of places to wear that shawl!
We’re still a bit chilly down here, but the sun is shining and things are supposed to warm up by the beginning of next week. Our insulation is so bad in S. Florida that the cold just comes whipping right on through and it takes days to warm up again after the weather turns nice again. I get all warmed up at the gym every morning!
Oh man, that is beautiful! Things just seem to be flying off of your needles lately. I wish I could have that problem.
This weekend? Doughnut making at mom’s tomorrow. Laundry. Trying to get rid of the oncoming head cold. Did I mention laundry?

Tom is helping my sister’s family move so I will have lots of knitting and chick flick time! Now if I could get some of anniebananie’s doughnuts!!!

As for the size of the “shed” — I, for one, suspect a ManCave is being built. If you see any size refrigerator or TV going in it once it is completed, then it is officially a ManCave for the Knight and his “manpanions.” No wonder he has so much help lined up to build it.
Tomorrow we start a new dog walking routine. Rob is going with us so we can take two at a time. Baths for Samba and Fudge. Haircuts for some of the others.
I’d like to finish the taxes and get them out of the way. Then I want to start organizing the library. I’ll try to fit some knitting and reading in there, too.

I’m having a quiet weekend, as they all seem to be these days. I worked Saturday morning and spent the afternoon housecleaning and cooking. Knitting and a movie occupied the evening. More cleaning today and some more knitting. It is a gorgeous day, but muddy out there, so I’m going to sit in the big comfy chair by the window with my sock in progress. Oh yeah. I also have to throw some heavy weights around and hit the treadmill.

Ah yes, we see the gray squirrel debating going in for a field goal–sacked by the door opening. Nuts to that idea–dooropener takes it down the field and SCORES! Zero to one! And the crowd goes (what else) wild!
