Cherished Friends

I’m so blessed to have the best friends in the world.    When I realized I couldn’t finish the baby blanket, Gmarie volunteered her services.   The box arrived yesterday, complete with goodies for me and for the fur-girls.

It’s much larger and lighter weight than what I was working on.    That makes it much more practical!

There’s the close-up of the embroidery.  Isn’t it darling!?   Willow’s mother and I grew up with Raggedy Ann, so that’s such a touching element to tie us all together.

You just have to see these earrings.  They’re my new favorites.  I have to find more outfits to wear them with!  They’re by Anna Perrone.

Thanks so very much, G.   Everything is truly perfect.

I’ve found several new, fun Etsy shops of late.  (Ms. Perrone has one too, so this does all tie together, thank you…)  That, and several of my friends, bloggy and local, are talented ladies, so do share your favorite indie crafters with me!

Well!  I’ve spent nearly 30 minutes fighting with WordPress, so here are simple text links to three new to me vendors on Etsy.  Sorry for the lack of photos, but for whatever reason, WordPress freaked out…

I just hope the parents love that little blankie 🙂

The earings are fabulous. I have a couple pairs of Anna’s earings (and some stitch markers – made just for me) that I love! g

Very sweet blanket for the baby. Now you can stop feeling guilty about the other one. I’ll have to make a list of my Etsy favorites.

I loved embroidery. My eyes are not keen enough for it now. I wish! How very kind of G to finish for you. Tell scrabblequeen that unless she has a room painted THAT color, the earrings go to me in your will (I have the room, honest!).

I love all your etsy shop links, but you caused me to spend the last hour… if not more searching all of etsy for all kinds of good stuff! I love etsy. Glad you love the blankie, my mom had some stress deciding what embroidery to put on it, but it is pretty darn cute!

I know, what’s up with WordPress lately?

The blanket is so lovely and the embroidery is amazing, but those earrings are perfect! They are my color and just the right length for my short hair. I must go to that Etsy sight! Thanks for the links.

That blankie is adorable. Love the name “Willoughby”. Is that a family name or is the mom and big Jane Austen fan?

I have a vintage raggedy ann doll that HRH wanted to put in the pile for goodwill on Sunday! I plucked that baby back. I can’t tell you how old it is – at least 40 years old, I’m sure. I also have ones that my mother made me when I was a child, and I do believe that there is a picture floating around of me dressed as raggedy ann one year… 🙂

I’m glad you like the earrings! I’ve been wearing a similar pair lately with a light gray sweater and jeans. The gray really makes the green pop.
