Distractions

Hmmm…  How can I distract you?  With a little help, I distracted Gretchen from her rant on their blog, but we were busy enough last night that I didn’t get photos off the camera, into Flickr.

Thanks to all of you who’ve grabbed the book meme and posted your answers.  It’s a long read, but I’ve really been enjoying them!

OBX Fall 2009 - water's still cool, but no jelly fish and the sand is cool too

We hear that it’s beastly hot at the beach and the jelly fish are keeping everyone on the shore.   Ah, I knew there was a reason we loved the beach off-season!

Happy Dogs on Thursday, little friday and Thankful Thursday too.   Right now, I’m thankful that temperatures have dropped back to the high 80s, and that we’re reconnected with the world at home.  You?

They had one monster jelly fish sting 100 people in an hour a couple weeks back up this way….. ICKY!

Thankful I’m not at the beach with jellyfish. And that thunder didn’t come with today’s rain.

It’s still hovering around 100 degrees here today. We might see a cooldown to the high eighties next week. I used to hate the times the jellyfish washed up on the beach when I lived in Myrtle Beach.

I’ve been looking at pictures of the storm in DC and thinking, I miss real weather–to a point…

  7. I’m thankful for the unually cool weather we’ve been having (sorry Chan) and for my sweater class starting tonight!!

I read about the jelly fish. It’s very hot and muggy here. I’m glad you are getting a little break.

It was 99 when I got home today! UGH I’m so tired of this super hot weather, but there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight so far.

I’m thankful that I got a nap this afternoon. 🙂

Glad you are back online at home. I am fed up with the weather-work in DC, but luckily got in (6 am)before the ‘End of the World’ storm yesterday a.m. It was dark when I got to work…but then it got much darker and all h*ll broke loose. Another round of storms on the drive home…hate the heat, the storms, the general idiocy of life in this area. Can you tell I had, to paraphrase Judith Viorst children’s book, a “..Terrible, Horrible, No good, Very Bad Day.”

It was 98 yesterday at 5 pm but thankfully it has cooled to 78 here this morning. Humidity took a hike and it looks like rain which is needed in this neck of the woods.

I wish it was in the 80s here!
