Sunshine in a Store

Happy Dogs on Thursday, little friday, Thankful Thursday and almost wedding day!   No, not me…  but dear, local friends are tying the knot on Saturday, and I’m so very happy for them.  As the commercial says – and I say to Gretchen almost daily – who doesn’t love love?

Blooper photo hint about Gretchen's post

Gretchen has a nice post about pet safety today.

See?  They don’t always cooperate during a photo shoot.  No one is looking anywhere near the camera.  I can’t explain why I chopped Sis’s face out of the photo, unless they were looking at me when I started pressing the button… ?

Boo!  There’s no photo online of my local Pink Palm‘s new spot, but on a cold, wet evening, those pretty pink shutters were a sunny port in the storm for several of us with the JLC.  While I don’t love to shop, it’s impossible to NOT enjoy a private shopping event complete with refreshments, friends, a fabulous door prize and staff who clearly were happy to see us.

That’s my Thankful Thursday – time with friends, new friends, and as passionate as I am about the League, I’m always thankful when we can foster another relationship in the community.   The new scarf proclaims “Lilly loves the League!” and I can assure you, here in C’ville, the League loves Lilly too.  FYI – Lilly online is sold out of the limited edition JL scarf, so if you want one, head to your local store.  Gasp!  I sure hope they’ll make more…

What is your sunshine on a cloudy/rainy day?

Work, work, and more work. I’m almost feeling caught up, we’re hiring me help part time. She was suppose to start Monday (giving me today and Saturday to catch up) but now the boys want her today. Can you tell I’m frustrated? Plus I’m honestly not sure what I need somebody to do. I know – waffling and whinging in your comments – sorry.

Love your new dress, Love the JL scarf – but if you look at the store locator map – I have no pretty fabric. Boo!

    Okay – better go no. I’m horrible. 🙂 g

Sunshine today (amidst the drizzle) – Just got a good news call from a friend that her husband’s colon cancer surgery yesterday was a success and they are calling him cancer-free (chemo to follow for any stray cells).

    What did you buy?

(And G, if you can’t whine here, where can you? At least you know Chan will listen! Unlike the menfolk…)

I LOVE that scarf… but it’s out of my budget right now.
I’m LOL at the girls blooper photo… I get tuns of those for every photo shoot and finally decided to post their blooper reel last week. We should start a “Monday Bloopers” blogalong! ha!
And gee, thanks for getting the Who Doesn’t Love Love stuck in my head…. “I love love” (David) is the best line.

It’s gray and drizzly here but I finished a knitted baby sweater. I’ll take a photo soon. It turned out so cute and the pattern was fun. I think I may do another from the same pattern right away. NJ and I are going to work on our obedience homework this afternoon as soon as Rob takes me out for lunch.

  5. Kathy says:

I too want to know what you bought!

  6. Marjie says:

It’s nice that the girls are matching.

    So what did you buy?

  7. Very quiet, sunny day here. We deserve it, after all the epic rains lately. First, we were flooding from the rain. Now, the flood warning comes from melting snows…ai ai ai….

  8. Amy says:

I’m sick of wet weather, but the rain doesn’t bother me as much as the sleet/snow, which we had yesterday. Mother Nature is so confunded, don’t you agree?

Ok, the photo of the girls makes me SO happy about how my photo shoots with the boys go. I get them side by side for a photo, and they both look away. every time! rebels!
I am happy for a lovely, drizzly day with no wind, so we were able to walk and really enjoy it! I even got to work on the pond a little bit, and remove some of the stray leaves, and run the waterfall to give the fish a little oxygen in their water!

The girls still look cute, even if it is a blooper shot 🙂 Your private shopping event sounds like a lot of fun!

Feeling a bit camera shy girls? Me too:) I love the idea of a blooper shot day. I’ve got tons…

I’m thankful I have a daughter-in-law who has a thrifty fashion blog. I’m going to need her to go with me for a Spring shopping trip before I go to Idaho.

    Thanks for sharing, Chan.

  12. Kathy says:

LOL….the girls are camera shy??? or just proving a point they’ll pose when they want ;).

My sunshine? The dogs settled for a nap, cup of sweet and spicey tea and my knitting. Perfect for a rainy/snowy ‘spring’ day 😉
