Happy Friday!

I feel a little like Frosty (who shouted “Merry Christmas!” indiscriminately, as an expression of joy).  Just lots of little happiness stuff going on here.  New glasses, a good hair day, a pleasant, no-humidity day, etc.

Oh – and I finished a knitting project.  The FO report will have to wait for blocking, but it will come soon enough.  Next up, finishing a couple of long-time works in progress, and then I need to settle on another little something to keep my selfish Mojo happy too.

I’m also happy to report the fur-girls got a walk last night.  It was a hard, fast walk in the near-dark, but it was a walk and Sissy in particular was VERY happy.  At some point tomorrow, Gretchen and I are going shopping for an Easy Walk harness.  Hem.  (No, I haven’t found either of Sissy’s yet, but thanks for asking.  One is in a beach bag, although not the beach bag I used last fall.  The other is in the box of stuff removed from my old car a year ago, and I have no idea where we stashed that lone box of things I knew didn’t need to go in the new car.)

I am in dire need of a mani/pedi.  I might see if I can slip away from work later…

What’s on your weekend agenda?

Well, you are just perky as the devil today, aren’t you? Good for you! Congrats on FO and for getting a walk in yesterday. Good luck finding the harnesses…I know that feeling that you have sixteen of the same thing somewhere in your home/garage…if only you could find just one. No weekend plans. Too lazy to plan.

Clean clean clean knit knit knit.

  3. Good luck with those Mani/pedi plans! Today’s plans include a Knit Shop Hop and a haircut. Tomorrow’s plan includes sleeping late and a b-b-q for Season Ticket holders of The Kings….Sunday…rain…again still, I believe.

ps – love your FO. Mine is currently taking a bath.

We have lots of humidity here today so we’re all staying inside. We have watermelon for an evening snack when it cools off.

I need to finish up my pillows so I can get onto something new.

Currently I am considering going out to see if it is cool enough to tackle a bit of the jungle, and then I need to work on cleaning up the kitchen. I am hoping to get at least some mowing done today/tomorrow, going to the garden store to see about plants for the garden/deck. Tomorrow I get to pick up Hubband at the airport in the afternoon and we are going to “look” at mowers on the way home. Mowing, grilling dinner, knitting, more mowing, and (hopefully) giving Sadie a much needed bath!
One can only do so much push mowing at a time after all.

Race day tomorrow is the track FAR North, which means a very LONG day and a late night (or rather, early morning) getting home.. which means a very lazy Sunday… hopefully some knitting!
    Yay for (another) new harness!

I can’t wait to see the red thing blocked. It looks great even unblocked.

We are going to the movies tomorrow in order to escape the heat. We see lots of movies in the summer for that reason.

  9. Marjie says:

Finished objects are good! Walks are good! Relief from the heat is good! Happy weekend!

Yippee I only have to work Sunday night shift this weekend. TODAY is a vacation day for me. I hope only to be pryed off my porch once today to work on photos for a minimum amount of time. Kitten check on well being….a few times today.
    KNITTING! for sure.
A cold alcholic drink on the porch and hopefully a little thunder..

Is that the Wendy Knits Mystery Shawl? Can’t wait to see it blocked.

I did drive by a Dress Barn yesterday, but after an hour in Lowes with the kids looking at sheds I was too tired to walk in the store. I’ve got to get there without the kids!

I’m hoping to hit the tide pools at the beach tomorrow morning…but it’s only supposed to be 68 degrees. I’m praying for sun…June Gloom can resume on Tuesday.

Hope you’ve had a great weekend!

Well, it sure sounds like you had a “snappy” weekend in store. If today were one of those thankful days, I would have to say I too am happy for no humidity. Curly hair like mine just can’t handle it. Gee, you would think it would get use to it after ALL these years.

    Happy Monday, Chan:)

I’m in need of a pedicure myself! Absolutely love those! 🙂
Got a photo of you in the new glasses? he he
