Over the weather

No, I’m not ill.  I’m just totally over all of this rain.  We did have a few minutes of sunshine yesterday, but in general, it’s been cloudy and/or raining for most of the past week.

I think we all just need beach time.  In the past, I’ve said that a rainy day at the beach is better than a sunny day at work.  That’s generally true, but what I’d really like is a few sunny, warm days at the beach.

No, we aren’t heading down there this weekend, but thanks for asking.  Soon though… it won’t be as long as it has been.

Thanks for reading my pout out loud.  I know I’m not the only one ready for the sun!

I could live at the beach. And would, happily.

  2. every day this weekend and yesterday we were supposed to have rain, my body has felt like it too–but not a drop, just sun, I wouldn’t mind the rain just so I can get over the achy feeling. We will head to our spot of the shore next week for 3 or 4 days, can’t wait!!!!! I hope you get sun soon!!!!

If I could, I’d send you some Wyoming fall sunshine. It has been glorious here the past week.

Honey – the sun just barely left. What’s your problem? See in Seattle we get sun with the rain and it’s lovely. But it’s finally turned to Fall here this weekend and I’m so ready for break – sewing retreat coming up followed fast by a vacation – can’t believe it’s almost October! g

Sun??? Didn’t know it was still in the sky. Thought it went into early hibernation 😉

Rain? What’s that? We haven’t seen any this year in Texas! While I was knitting and watching TV last night I saw an announcement flash on the screen, “Severe thunderstorm warning.” It was for an area three counties west of us. We didn’t see a drop but I was so excited by the possibility!

And for sun that has the good sense to RISE at the beach, properly!

As much as I love a beach day, I really do love rainy weather. There is something alluring to me about it. Driving in the rain, listening to The Organ or Tori Amos … one of my favorite things to do. Or listening to the rain beat down on a canvas Civil War a-frame tent and taking a nap. I do love the rain.

It’s been way too rainy here, too. WTF, did we move to Seattle and no one told us? Then why does G have to fly here to visit with us? Hmpf. I’d really like a little sunshine, too.

very gloomy here lately…..when the sun peeks out I run and look at it!

Send your rain here! We are having a severe drought, roads are cracking, foundations are moving, trees are dying…it’s really bad.

It’s a sunny, slightly warm, but windy fall day and I’m not complaining. Tsar says it’s a good day. He and I like the same type of weather. I sure would like to be at the beach, though.

  13. We’re mostly still running full-on summer here, so you know I would send you sunshine if I could! It was ‘only’ 90 today…Looking forward to the promised coolness I should find down in Santa Monica over the weekend coming. Oh, they have a beach there, too…where the sun SETS. 🙂

Just don’t go to Maine. 🙂

It’s been rainy here too, Chan, but it looks nice today. Hopefully it will herald a lowering of our humidity!
