Gretchen's first Halloween
It’s pumpkin day! (And another good excuse to enter Louise‘s contest, but that post from our house will be going up later, when Sissy and Gretchen can help…)
We love all things pumpkin at our house. So far today, I’ve had pumpkin spice coffee with a pumpkin whoopie for breakfast (whoopie courtesy of Best Thing, the Knight’s assistant’s wife), and a bite of unremarkable pumpkin bread from some country store somewhere in the Knight’s travels, which I was promptly told was NOT for me, but for me to take home for Sissy. Hem. Can you say Daddy’s girl?! Yes, yes, we’ll share with Gretchen too.
There are no photos of all the pumpkin foods and beverages we enjoy, but luckily, Gretchen was a pumpkin her first Halloween…

My MIL makes the best pumpkin pie that I’ve ever had. But the one thing I’m craving with the cold weather is a meat pie. An honest-to-goodness pie with meat filling. Yummy! Know of any recipes?

We have a big pumpkin sitting in the kitchen waiting to be carved. Then the doggies will get to eat chunks of the meat. They love it that way but don’t try to give them the canned stuff.
Me, I’ll pass on pumpkin. It’s never been one of my faves.
Oh I love pumpkin – thinking about pumpkin stuffed shells, and pumpkin pasta – if I get the pasta maker for my new toy can I flavor my own pasta with pumpkin? g

I’m a big fan of pumpkin…especially that totally cute little one at the top of the page! Because…I prefer my pumpkin to be sweet, though I’m ok with savory. I knit two pumpkins in the last week…one sweet and one saucy!

I like anything with pumpkin too. I think it’s the time of year. The minute fall comes I start thinking about pumpkin recipes. I hope your week is going well.
