Fur-girl Fancies

March 2012 003Happy Thorsday, little friday and Thankful Thursday!  Gretchen has a cute post up on their blog, but she also is taking care of a little question for me.  If you have any experience (first-hand or not!) with a dog’s nose changing color, please click over.

This is truly an all-in-one post.  I’m so thankful for gMarie.  She’s a dear, supportive, thoughtful friend.  She knows I have a host of pregnant friends (and already one new little guy in our world), so she knitted a pair of baby socks every time she finished a pair of adult socks… and then some, I think.

March 2012 009She also sent pressies for me and for the fur-girls, although it seems Gretchen is a little confused about which items (just the pink flower-band!) are hers.

(It’s warm, even hot for this time of year, in these parts.  So pardon the droopy dog photos.  They were also after a good walk!)

Since it’s Thorsday, I’ll also toss in this photo of Gretchen expressing her sheer delight with the flannel infinity scarf gMarie sent ME.  We’ve noticed that Gg will claim red almost as quickly as PANK, and evidently, this flannel is nearly as soft as cashmere, according to Gg the fine fiber inspector.

What are you thankful for today?

I agree that gMarie is a generous and thoughtful friend, as I was blessed too this week by her generosity. Thanks, gMarie!

The headband photos of the fur-girls are precious.

Thanks for telling me about the missing comment link on my blog. ;oD

What a great pick-me-up package! 🙂 And I absolutely ADORE that last photo… so sweet!

Well I’m definitely thankful for pictures of Sissy and Gg in their finery! Macy is a red lover also and would snuggle with the scarf just the way Gretchen is doing.

I’m also thankful that we are into the final month of the big push at work and I can see summer fun in the future. Yee-haw as we say in Texas!!

  6. Tom has work today and the beautiful cloth you made Jeannie arrived (my fault in not getting the mail sooner)

Well, I’m glad the girls are decked out as flowers the week before the official arrival of spring! G really does quite a job with socks, and I’m glad your friends can put her miniature socks to use. Our trees are starting to break bud today, so winter just might be over before it really started!

Oh, I bet you can guess what I’m thankful for today. My big boy is doing well with his prednisone and I’m loving it. Every time I walk by him, I stroke him and tell him he’s a good boy. A couple times yesterday he came over and put his head in my lap for some loving. This is a special time.

You might want to remind gg that she doesn’t like non-clothes and I’m pretty sure that an infinity scarf counts as non-clothes. I love the girls in those flower headbands – I wish my dogs would wear well anything.

Weekend plans? St. Pat’s walk; friends for dinner; lots of sewing (I have 6 fleece baby blankets to get done – 5 before Sat!).

Thankfuls – I got nuttin’ this morning. I know there’s tons but I seem to always recycle the same thing every week. g

I’m thankful for the beautiful weather we’re having right now!

Those are great pictures of the fur-girls. I really love the last one of Gretchen! She’s so adorable 🙂

Those are the cutest aquatic papers and cards! (in your previous post) Wouldn’t Tracy love them?

Nice of gMarie to send all those lovely things. Looks to me as though you’ve lost possession of the flannel scarf.

    Happy St. Paddy’s Day!

  12. That’s awesome that she sent you baby socks! I need to start doing that after I finish a pair of socks and stock up for such occasions. 😀
