Little bit o’ luck

Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day! Gretchen O'Greer and Sissy McMoo 3-2011

It’s a beautiful, green spring St. Paddy’s Day here in the Woods.  I couldn’t ask for more.  The fur-girls and I had a long, glorious walk in the woods, admiring all the new greenery that had arrived since our last tromp, just yesterday.  If you’ll pardon me, I’m going back to my book, but here’s an Irish blessing for you, whether you are Irish or not!

May you always have
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!

It’s been raining and snowing here. But we got through the walk, the house is clean, the brisket is smoking, the dogs are snoring, the husband is installing his new garage door opener. All is good here too. Glad it’s a fabulous day in the woods. The fur-girls do look very irish indeed. g

It looks like Sissy is reciting the poem in that shot. You both look lovely in green.

Of course the first year I decide to make a traditional Irish stew for dinner it is 80 degrees here. Oh well. Clark & I went to a St Patrick’s Day celebration at our library. They read some stories, sang songs and made a craft. It was a lot of fun.
