Do you have a bucket?

I mean… a bucket list?

I want cap toe flats!

I suppose I kinda’ do…  I have dream vacations, wish lists on Amazon and my Nook… and then there’s Pinterest.  Yeah…  I guess that’s how I’d answer the question.  I don’t have a bucket list, but I have 37 (or whatever) boards on Pinterest of things I might cook/bake one day, outfits I’ll never be brazen enough to wear.

Honestly, of all the social media that has taken over our lives, Pinterest is most my style… blogging excluded of course.  I love words and writing, so I’m still trying to appreciate the irony that makes someone like me really enjoy “pinning”.

On the flip side, Twitter is my least favorite.  I still don’t understand #hashtags (or is it hashtags#), nor do I know how to group all of the Junior Leagues I follow on Twitter into one group.

I forget to check Instagram, but it’s cool too…  You don’t have to wait for your friends to make a scrapbook, and you can look at just the photos you want; you don’t have to sort through all of the photos from their wedding, vacation, etc., if you don’t wanna’.

So… DO you have a bucket list?  If so, is it real or just a series of fluid thoughts and dreams?  If it’s real, where does it live?

No, I don’t have a Bucket List, but like you, I have some dream vacations. They may or may not happen, and I’m okay with that.

I “pin” but for me it is like a bulletin board of clever ideas and projects that I may never make, but at least it doesn’t add more clutter to my house from the print-outs that I would ultimately save if I didn’t pin.

I have a list, but it’s in my head. I do have little reminders here and there such as an Amazon wish list, but I use it mainly to remember titles I want to read, but maybe not purchase.

I have a Facebook account that I glance at about once a month. It annoys me that most people just repost someone else’s pictures or witty sayings. I don’ bother with Twitter or any of the others. I blog and spending time and energy on all the other sites will just dilute what I want to say on my blog.

My in-head list is fluid and changes with moods and circumstances. That’s OK.

You know… that’s a great way to look at Pinterest! It truly is sort of like our individual bucketlists of sorts, isn’t it? You know I LOVE Instagram too – my most favorite probably. Twitter isn’t bad, though it’s hard to keep up (if you want to) with everything going on. Grouping your Jr League pals into one group is very easy… msg me if you need tips.

I’ve never liked the idea of a bucket list – too much pressure. It’s like a major to-do list that if you don’t get things done you feel like a failure, or at least I would. It’s kind of like New Years resolutions. I don’t do that, either. I love the idea of Pinterest being a kinder, gentler bucket list. I am totally in love with Pinterest. I just wish I had more time to spend on it… Maybe someday!

So, did you find those shoes somewhere? Or are they just a dream? Because I would like some, too. Cap toe ballerina flats are about the prettiest, most feminine flats out there.

No bucket list but Pinterest was on my list of things to do for a long time and I finally tried it a few weeks back. It’s interesting but I still don’t understand all of the uses! I am totally with you on Twitter. I don’t get it. Is there really anything good about Tweeting our every thought ALL of the time? A friend of mine Twitters or Tweets or whatever in the middle of the night. That makes no sense to me at all!!

  7. No bucket list, but many dreams and hopes of things to do or see or folks to visit some day.

To get on Benlysta, to have me be one of the one out of eleven for whom it works (and it does already for my daughter) and have it decrease my sun sensitivity with my lupus–and then watch out world, here I come! I want to museum-hop with my 86-year-old art dealer father in Paris. He knows that city so well and I’ve never been.

another good thought provoking post Channon! I love your shoe want….they are very cute.
I keep lists on a small paper notebook in my purse at all times. It is not a bucket list, but a daily to do list. I have always wanted to sing in a choir! IN a church. Haven’t found the time yet.

SOme other bucket list thoughts in my head….

    Go to the Olympics someday

    Write a book

go back to the boundary waters

knit a sweater with reverse shaping! Ha I still haven’t come close with that one!

    I have a list of goals…

Here’s the thing I’ve noticed about a bucket list. At some point, I decided…”Well, I’m not getting younger, so I need to start on my list.” And I jumped on it like an Olympic hopeful. Long haul hiking, joining several volunteer organizations, etc. But here’s the thing…as I accomplished something, I found that I unconsciously added another goal to my list. So…I’ve resolved myself that I’ll always have a list to the day of my last breath. (Cleaning out the basement is at the top of my present list.)

I don’t use Twitter at all….and while I look at Facebook, don’t really do much there either. As far as bucket lists are concerned, I guess not. At least in an actual list form. We should all have things on our mental bucket lists…..

I started a bucket list on Pinterest a while ago! It was fun to sort of figure out what I was shooting for. 🙂
