About that Mouth

So, several of you have asked why the Bearables get no mouths.  (Scroll back a post if you’re lost.)  Maybe this will help:

See?  The bear is used to help express the griever’s emotions, so theoretically, any mouth would be “wrong” at least some of the time.

How was your weekend?

I think – with explaination that no mouth makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing it’s a worthwhile project. g

The Bearable project is clearly worthy of the JL grant. I’m glad it was awarded to them.

I stayed inside nearly all weekend and knit. It has been -15F at night and only gets to 7F during the daylight hours; plus, there is about 10 inches of snow on the ground. I want to just stay inside and hibernate.

I figured it was something like that. Hello Kitty has no mouth…because she speaks with her heart.

Kids always need a ‘listener”…no matter what their circumstances may be.

Weekend (and good chunk of last week) was spent taking care of DH. His two-week upper respiratory infection turned into a bad case of pneumonia. Drs office wasn’t seeing folks with the usual URI symptoms the week before due to flu epidemic…but turned out to be a ‘not good thing’ for him.

    WEekend was awesome awesome awesome
Made Minnesota WilD rice soup in the crock pot
Made chocolate cake in the crock pot …good except for taking it out too soon and it breaking apart
    Fire in the fireplace
    TONS of fun knitting.

I was wondering about the mouth too. Thanks for clearing it up.

That is so sweet and such a great idea. I am looking forward to making some and maybe donating some of them to the children’s hospital where DD works. There have been a few times in my life when I could have shared with a “quiet” bear and felt better. When my Mom passed I nearly talked Macy’s ears off.

We’ll not talk about my weekend but today has been MUCH better–almost peaceful!
